Think of CoolTone as a “Portable Gym.” CoolTone uses MMS (magnetic muscle stimulation) technology that generates muscle contraction. It is FDA approved to strengthen, tone, and firm abdomen, buttocks, and thighs in both men and women.

CoolSculpting permanently reduces fat whereas CoolTone builds muscle.

Recommend starting with 6 treatments. Each treatment should be performed 48 hours apart and average 2 treatments per week. Each treatment averages 20min for thighs and 30 min for abdomen and buttocks.

Patients typically will feel as if they are performing a sit-up and or a squat so some patients will feel their muscles intermittently contracting but it is not painful. There are no restrictions post treatment and generally no side effects except may experience some mild soreness.

All jewelry needs to be removed as well as apple watches, cell phones, and I pads to be turned off. Shorts will be provided during your treatment and we ask that both men and women wear a comfortable cotton shirt and women to wear sport bra and or bra with no underwire. The panels are placed directly over the clothing provided. Once the treatment is started it cannot be stopped so we also ask that you utilize the restroom prior to your treatment. 

Some patients might notice subtle changes after a single treatment, however full results are 4 weeks after the last treatment. 

Muscles begin to atrophy after 2 weeks of not being used. Results last longer in patients that continue to “work out” their muscles at a gym and or do touchup treatments for maintenance. - The real questions should be “Who CANNOT” receive treatments? Restrictions include the following: 

- This is magnetic so no metal located in the treatment area

- No cochlear implants or pacemakers

- hearing aids and drug pumps must be removed

- medical conditions such as Graves, seizure disorder, respiratory issues or bleeding disorders

- No pregnancy and not while menstruating

- No copper IUD
